You get over 80 great digital TV and radio channels, including high definition (HD) programmes from the BBC and ITV - all for free. But it doesn't stop there - Freesat gives you super fast digital text and enhanced interactivity, as well as digital subtitles and audio description.

With Freesat, your favourite TV channels like BBC Three, BBC Four, ITV2, ITV3, More 4 and Film Four are all yours. There's no need to choose between different packages.

You'll also get around 20 digital radio stations, so you can listen to live sport, great comedy, music, drama and the latest news.

Getting Freesat is simple

You can buy a receiver box from around £50 or choose from one of the new TVs with the Freesat receiver already built-in. After this one-off investment, you can enjoy the TV channels free forever.

It's really easy to get started. You will need a satellite dish. It uses the same dish as Sky TV so if you already have one of these dishes installed at your home, you can connect to it and be up and running straight away.

If you do not have a satellite dish then you can either buy one to install yourself or you can have it professionally installed for around £80.

Freesat is broadcast via satellite so it's available to almost every home in the UK.
